Bonjour je suis Élise

picture of Élise

Élise specialises in teaching French to adults at every level, from complete beginners to advanced learners. She also tutors children from the age of six and prepares students for French exams such as DELF and GCSE.

Before joining us, Élise worked as a private French tutor for young adults and taught music to students of all ages (one of her other passions). She has also supported French children in France with their homework to help them achieve better grades.

An extroverted and curious individual, Élise is always eager to learn and explore new horizons. She has a deep appreciation for culture, with a particular interest in contemporary and modern art as well as classical music. Attentive to detail and patient, she brings essential qualities to her teaching.

Élise believes a good teacher should be caring and supportive, attentive to each learner’s needs and committed to creating a positive, motivating learning environment.

In her free time, she enjoys playing racquet sports, going to the cinema, and practising classical music on the flute and piano. In addition to French, she speaks English fluently and has an intermediate level in Spanish and Romanian. Her own experience as a language learner gives her a deep understanding of the challenges students face, which enables her to teach with empathy.

Structured approach

Every lesson follows the Structured French methodology that we have refined over more than a decade. Rather than relying on improvised conversations or disconnected exercises, our curriculum follows a carefully designed progression where vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and conversation develop together. Each lesson is supported by our collection of twelve books, ensuring every student benefits from the same structured learning experience.

Discerning clients

We have taught French to people from different parts of the world, adapting the teaching method to their background, requirements, and consideration of their mother tongue. We had the pleasure to teach French to university lecturers, researchers and doctors, and people working in the cinema, the music, and the media industry such as tv producers, journalists, or musicians. We have as well taught French to business owners, to CEOs, and to members of the European Parliament. Moreover, we have delivered in-company lessons, for English companies working with French ones and, to people working for French companies. Some of them are:
